Is there a way I can customize the table of contents to do the following (unrelated) things:

  1. I want to contain the vertical size of the TOC and have the contents scroll.
  2. Is it possible to customize the TOC's numbering scheme to show minimalist numbers (in other words, an item that's two levels deep is 1.1.1, but the indenting makes that obvious, so it's only necessary to show the last .1, indented.
  3. Is it possible to vary the digits used at each level -- for example, top level uses 1, 2, 3..., next level uses A, B, C..., third level uses .i, .ii, .iii, etc?
Thanks very much

Josh

Hi Josh,

Unfortunately it is not possible right now.

But,

The ID fo the HTML table which includes the TOC is "toc". You can write Javascript code and put in KWizCom.WikiPlus.js file in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\KWizCom_WikiPlus" folder.

In the script you can wrap the table in DIV with fixed width and otehr things which you want.

Hope it helped.

Igor,

Igor:

It's a bit more work than I wanted to do, but I get the idea and I'll check out the possibilities.
