Hello,

I just noticed that the css-styles, that are used for the discussion list seem to be .ms-vb2 and .ms-WPHeader TD.

Unfortunately, these styles are branded in our Sharepoint and the color was set to black for both of them, resulting in non-readable discussion posts:

(The text is all black, I made it partially visible with a mouse-selection)
Since we cannot change the style for ms-vb2 and WPHeader, is there a way to change the styles that are used for the discussion list?

Or did I miss something important here?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Marcus

Hi Marcos,

You can try to modify "WikiPlusTemplates.ascx" file into "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\CONTROLTEMPLATES" folder.

In the templates file you can find "ResentDiscussionsForm" template.  You can try to modify it and change style.

Please be careful and backup the file before change it. Also, the file will be overwritten if you will upgrade to a new version of WikiPlus. So, you need to save you changes somewhere.

You can create your OWN template file with name __MyWikiPLus.ascx and put the new "ResentDiscussionsForm" template there.

Hi Igor,

I modifed the reference to the styles in the ResentDiscussionForms Template in the ./Controltemplates Folder, as you suggested.
It made no visual difference on the page and the IE Developer Toolbar still shows the WPHeader styles in place, even after I commented the whole section out.
Copying the Template into __MyWikiPLus.ascx and also had no effect, my own style does not show up on the wiki-page. :(

Looks for me like the styles are somehow hardwired to the original WPHeader style.

Any further thoughts, what my problem might be here?

Thank you,

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

Please find attached ZIP file with the file sample. Please remeber that you need to restart IIS after any modifications in CONTROLTEMPLATES folder.

I hope it helped you.

Hi Igor,

using your Template worked partially, the Styling of the Discussion obviously changed, but also parts of the Wiki-pages disappeared.
Since my time was running out, I decided to change the ms-WPHeader in our Corporate-Theme. Applying the new background-color to the 1011-65001.css finally did the trick.

Thanks for helping me out, dunno why the MyWikiPlus solution didn´t work 100%.

Marcus
